South by Southwest - SXSW!

I've been wanting to head down to sunny Austin for quite some time now to check out the SXSW music festival. Finally, I committed and booked my flight!

This was the 26th annual SXSW of which 1000's of independent artists across all genres of music come down to Texas to represent. There were bands and people from all over the planet which led to a truly impressive festival. SXSW is by far the best musical event i've ever been a part of and is now an annual (hope to play at) event for me.

Much love goes out to FAZ, Adria, little Niko, and dog Murray for letting me crash at their "jucuzzi, pool, and fun havin'"pad for the journey!

It was good to see artists that I follow and great to get introduced to a bunch of other random good stuff

I didn't take many pics but I did capture a few highlights...

Tomorrows Bad Seeds!

The Uncle is back..

I caught Tomorrows Bad Seeds open up for the legendary Wailers at Lupos a few weeks ago. This is my first time catching TBS live and they were better than expected. This was their first time coming to the east coast and they received a nice east coast welcome! I ended up meeting the crew and next thing you know they turned up at my house late night for a bit of a wild after party!
It was hard to believe that the band which I blast on beach day mornings was sitting in my living room with me drinking beers and having conversation (etc..etc). They ended up all crashing at my house and taking off the next day around noon for their show in Atlantic City.

The Bad Seeds were a chill group of guys, respectful, and grateful for me putting them up for the night. I made some new friends and next time i'm in L.A. i'll defintely be giving these cats a call!

A pic of Uncle Sima and Tomorrows Bad Seeds in their tour van just prior to them hitting the road again.
